My iPad got broken (Update)

UPDATE

Alright, yesterday I went to two stores with customer services that work with Apple products (you know, to get a second opinion). Both of them gave me the same conclusion, which is that the issue of my iPad is more serious than I thought: it's not a software problem, but a hardware one.

Before I sent my tablet to customer services, I tried to fix it on my own by watching YouTube channels about this issue with iPads. And, when I was doing that, one of the things that I was concerned about is that, when you force restart your iPad, the Apple's logo should appear after that; but it didn't happen.

At that moment I was worried and thinking that maybe my iPad has a hardware issue. And, of course, it is. The technicians told me that the screen is not working properly and it has to be replaced. And doing that job is very expensive. Like 160$ or more.

At this point, I don't know what to do. But, I do have two options: (1) whether to try to save money to repair my iPad, or (2) well, I guess it is time to say goodbye to an old friend and move on. Because, as far as I googled it, repairing an iPad screen is not easy due to its unique build, with the possibility of losing your files.

This situation is taking me back to that time: the time I used to have a PC that I bought with my own money in my first job in my 20s. Well, one day (somewhere in 2015 or so), after 8 years of service, my PC stopped working because it got infected by a very strong internet virus.

Of course I got it fixed, but here was the catch: to clean my PC from that virus, I have to format my hard drive completely; that means deleting some programs and all the files that I have stored in my hard drive. I lost all my files on that computer after that, so many digital works from 8 years ago were lost. My first digital illustrations were on that PC. I was devastated.

And I got the feeling that it's happening again. I was working with my Spidersona, and I was in the process of making a new Princess Peach fan art on my tablet. And it never crossed my mind to do backups by sending them to the Cloud drives like Google Drive or Dropbox.

So friends, this is why you should do backups everyday, all the time. Because you never know when you will get a very serious problem like this no matter how careful you are with your gadgets and computers. Issues will happen sooner or later in one way or another.

So, what will it be: try to repair my iPad, or leave it as it is…
